Kalen and Tikei Bermuda College Culinary Arts students, Kalen Mills and Tikei Swan, were asked to come up with a special Valentine’s Day dish and drink for Rosa’s Cantina.


Congratulations to Two Culinary Arts Students!

Bermuda College Culinary Arts students, Kalen Mills and Tikei Swan are both featured in the Royal Gazette on February 14th (pg. 9). Both are employed at Rosa’s Cantina and were asked to come up with a special Valentine’s Day dish and drink for the restaurant.

Together, they created a ‘his and hers’ dish – “Just the Two of Us” – a medley of shrimp and steak with garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini with a red wine jus.
Their signature drink is also featured, “In Between Sheets” with Ciroc Red Berry Vodka, Sprite and Triple Sec (also available in a non-alcoholic version). The drink is garnished with mint, blueberries and a lime wheel.

Tikei is a first year student, while Kalen is in his second year in the Culinary Arts programme. Both hope to ultimately own their own restaurants.
