CITY & GUILDS International Qualifications

The City & Guilds international qualification is specifically geared for the international marketplace to measure the knowledge and practical skills of learners. Qualifications are available at three levels: Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

Certificate in Hairdressing

City and Guilds Certificate in Hairdressing is a UK-based programme which enjoys international recognition. This part-time programme will be delivered over three semesters in both practical and traditional classroom settings. The programme is suited for people who are new to the profession and those currently working in the profession who require certification.  

Certificate in Hairdressing Level 2

Participants will learn and demonstrate the skills and competencies necessary to become hairstylist and superb customer care professionals. This will be accomplished through a combination of theory and practical sessions in the classroom and the salon. Participants will engage in a full time one week practicum in an approved salon under the guidance of experienced professional hairdressers near the end of the programme.

Application & Registration Process

Complete the Bermuda College Application form and submit it to the PACE Office Take the Computerized Placement Test (CPT) at Bermuda College. Call 236-9000 ext 4207 to make an appointment. You must indicate that you are applying to the Certificate in Hairdressing Programme.

You can practice for the CPT by checking out this website: Register for classes in the Office of Student Enrolment and Records, and pay at the Business Office located on the second floor of the College Centre by August 15th.
