During the ceremony, the nurses processed in with lit, hand-held lamps and were subsequently ‘pinned’ by a family member or loved one in recognition of their successful completion of the theoretical and practical components of the programme.

The Nursing Pinning Ceremony honours the recognised founder of the nursing field, Florence Nightingale, characterised by her compassionate care and familiar lamp.

They will join current Board members to ensure that the College is strategically placed as a world-class institution of higher learning, while maintaining its grounding as the “community’s College”, said Mr. Wade.
