"I would like to extend a profound thank you to Global Atlantic and the selection committee for recognising my talents and potential with this scholarship”, says Kanji. “Receiving this award fills me with immense pride and gratitude as I continue to strive for success into the future."

In June of this year, Global Atlantic committed to a four-year annual donation of $25,000 to the Foundation to fund scholarships and education grants, which are based on financial need, for eligible Bermuda College students.

“Scholarships and education grants, whether merit-based or based on financial need, are one of the many ways in which the Foundation is committed to supporting Bermuda College and its students,” states Foundation Chairman, Garry Madeiros.

“The Global Atlantic Re Scholarship that Kanji has received is part of a multi-year commitment from Global Atlantic that will have a positive impact on the education journey of many deserving Bermuda College students,” he continued. “We are grateful for this new partnership with Global Atlantic, their commitment to ongoing financial support, and for the shared vision both our organisations have in ensuring equitable access to the quality education that Bermuda College offers.”

Darryl Herrick, President of Global Atlantic Re, said “Our sincerest congratulations to Kanji, whose talents and drive make him more than deserving of this scholarship. We are grateful for the opportunity to help him and other Bermuda College students attain their educational goals, and look forward to seeing their future successes. We here at Global Atlantic are committed to supporting growth and opportunity on the Island and in our industry. Ensuring a talent pipeline is an essential component to achieving that goal — one that is core to our foundation’s mission.”
