Close up of pi writing Community engagement came in all shapes and sizes for Bermuda College this Easter holiday. Not only did the culinary arts students supply families with 30 dozen hot cross buns and 30 dozen fishcakes through collaboration with One Communications and the Coalition of Protection of Children for the traditional Easter meal, but the College was also able to provide, in a unique way, a critical component of the traditional Re-enactment of the Good Friday events produced by the East End Ministerial Alliance of Churches.

Thanks to the stellar efforts of IT audio/visual technician, Diogo Mota and the IT Department, the Alliance approached the College to see if we could produce a replacement ear for the one that was used in the re-enactment (Peter cut off the Roman soldier’s ear as he tried to arrest Jesus). Fortunately, back then, Jesus is said to have healed the soldier’s ear immediately! Using the College Innovation Lab’s 3-D printer, Mr. Mota was able to print a replacement ear in about 10 hours, which was promptly dispatched to the Alliance within the nick of time!
