How to Apply

We are a community college dedicated to offering the highest standards of academic and professional excellence. As you enter Bermuda College, we focus on maximizing your potential and what you will be able to accomplish upon graduation. Follow our guided steps here!

  • High school graduates
  • Students with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma/Certificate
  • Students with a General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Applicants without a diploma/GED (placement via CPT, SAT/ACT, or other records)
  • Mature applicants (25+) without a diploma/GED (placement via CPT)

Complete the online application ➔

  1. Pay the non-refundable application fee:
    • Local: $50
    • International: $100
    • Late: $75
    • Admissions deposit: $200 (applied to tuition once enrolled)

Admission is confirmed once the application and a fee are submitted.

Documents required before enrolment (not for admission):

  • Proof of citizenship (billing category: local vs. international)
  • Official transcripts & exam results (placement, transfer credit, exemptions)
  • Medical Disclosure Form (required before registration)

Key Dates:

  • Fall: June 1 (late: August 1)
  • Spring: November 1 (late: December 1)
  • Nursing: November 1

When You'll Hear Back:
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Most decisions are issued within ~4 weeks after the application is submitted.

  • Reapply online and pay the application fee
  • Submit updated transcripts (if applicable)
  • Submit Medical Disclosure Form

You may be eligible for the Fresh Start Policy (GPA recalculation after two years away).

Applicants under 18 may be admitted if they demonstrate readiness for college-level study.

  • Eligibility based on transcripts and/or CPT
  • Applications reviewed by the VP, Student Affairs
  • Parent/guardian consultation may be required

Under-18 students are treated as adult learners. Parents/guardians do not automatically receive access to student records without the student’s written consent.


Eligibility

  • S3 standing
  • GPA ≥ 3.0 (Associate track) or ≥ 2.0 (technical programmes)
  • Readiness shown via CPT or approved English/Math courses

Application Requires

  • School recommendation letter
  • Consent to share records between school and BC

College Readiness Benchmarks

  • IGCSE/GCE/GCSE: C / Level 4+ in English & Math
  • Alberta: ≥ 65% in English & Math (30-1/30-2)
  • ACT: Eng ≥ 21; Read ≥ 20; Math ≥ 20; Sci ≥ 23
  • CSEC: Grades I–III in English, Math & lab sciences
  • SAT: EBRW ≥ 480; Math ≥ 530
  • GED: 165–174 (RLA & Math)

Applicants who do not meet these thresholds will complete the Computerised Placement Test (CPT).


Computerised Placement Test (CPT)
Assesses reading, writing, and mathematics to determine the right starting point. Exemptions may apply with qualifying SAT/ACT/GED scores or prior college-level coursework.



External Examinations & Credit

  • AP: score 4+ (up to 5 course credits)
  • IB Higher Level: score 5+ (up to 5 course credits)
  • CLEP: score 50+ (up to 5 course credits)


Credits are awarded only if they apply to your declared programme of study.

Policy Highlights

  • Readiness ≠ Credit (e.g., AP score of 3 exempts CPT but does not award credit).
  • Maximum of 5 courses may be credited via AP, IB, or CLEP.
  • Official transcripts and score reports are required before credit is applied.

Bermuda College practices rolling admissions which means we review each application and offer an admission decision within approximately four weeks of receiving all the required documents.

  1. Sign in to the Student Portal with your college username and password.
  2. Go to Menu > Academics > Registration > select programme and term > click Register button
  3. Choose Required and/or Elective Courses > Click + sign next to courses, select the courses.
  4. Click Register/Drop
  5. Review then click Register/Drop button
  6. Find out tuition fee - Menu > My Account > click Account Information > click Registration Bill tab
  7. Pay Online at www.college.bm/payment or add Bermuda College as a payee through your bank
  8. Check the Portal to see your newly registered courses Menu > Academics > My Class Schedule
  9. Drop a class - Registration window > Selected Courses, click the delete/drop icon (-) click the Register/Drop

Every new student at Bermuda College meets with a counsellor in the Counselling & Career Centre (CCC). During this session the counsellor will counsel you regarding your career goals and offer recommendations to manage your path to success at Bermuda College. Following that, you will be assigned an academic advisor who will assist you in selecting the appropriate courses to complete a programme of study. You will then attend an orientation session and register for classes.
