Culinary arts students and Culinary Arts Instructor, Shawn Ming were treated to a quick visit by Food Network celebrity chef, Ann Burrell this week. The host of two television shows, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and co-host of Worst Cooks in America, Ms. Burrell is in Bermuda courtesy of the City of Hamilton’s Taste of Bermuda event this weekend.

Culinary arts students and Culinary Arts Instructor, Shawn Ming were treated to a quick visit by Food Network celebrity chef, Ann Burrell this week. The host of two television shows, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and co-host of Worst Cooks in America, Ms. Burrell is in Bermuda courtesy of the City of Hamilton’s Taste of Bermuda event this weekend.
Ms. Burrell shared her journey to success in the culinary field, including her time as a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. During the brief visit, it was also discovered that she and Chef Ming both graduated from the Culinary Institute of America around the same time. Small world!
The spirited Ms. Burrell entertained a variety of questions from students about getting started and staying motivated in a field traditionally dominated by males. She also provided autographs to the delight of those attending.
